Research Associate / Senior Research Associates
Acaster Lloyd Consulting Ltd is currently seeking Research Associates/Senior Research Associates (patient reported outcomes/clinical outcomes assessment) to join our team in Summer/Autumn 2023. We are very keen to build our research capacity by improving the skills and experience of our existing staff and by adding to our current team of 30 people.
Acaster Lloyd Consulting Ltd is a consultancy based in central London led by co-founders Sarah Acaster and Andrew Lloyd. We undertake a range of consultancy projects in patient centred outcomes research such as patient-, clinician-, and observer-reported outcomes research, stated preference studies and health state utility research for our international pharmaceutical and biotech clients.
Our work focuses on outcomes research to support licensing and market access for drugs and therapeutics. This includes qualitative and quantitative methods to explore health related quality of life and other clinical outcomes, patient preferences and utilities. We conduct primary research, for example, qualitative studies and surveys, as well as providing consultancy services for our clients. This work may inform the development, selection and use of outcome measures, trial design, regulatory submission strategies and/or aspects of economic evaluations. Our group has many years of combined experience in industry and academia.

Candidate Profile
- Essential: Post-graduate degree (MSc or PhD) in psychology (or related field such as epidemiology, economics, sociology)
- Experience of applied research in an academic or a commercial environment.
- Experience of, and interest in, design of research studies and analysis of patient outcomes data.
- Experience of conducting health research and working on research projects.
- Experience of quantitative or qualitative research and related technical skills (e.g., interviewing and coding).
- Experience of quantitative or qualitative software tools would be a strong advantage (such as referencing software’s, MAXQDA, Atlas, STATA, R, SPSS).
- Excellent writing skills preferably with experience of working on manuscripts or other dissemination.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team with a high degree of self-motivation

- • The candidate must have a right to work in the UK.
- • The candidate must be based out of London or be able to commute to London three times a week.
